Key responsibilities & impact

Analyze member and household performance to support lines of business, Association partners, and strategy teams
Perform ad hoc analyses, performance reporting, data storytelling, and forecasting
Gather, manipulate, and synthesize attributes, transactions, behaviors, and other relevant information
Participate in cross-functional discussions to understand business objectives and influence solution strategies
Apply advanced analytical techniques to medium- and large-scale business problems
Use scientific and quantitative analytical approaches to develop insight-to-action recommendations
Translate recommendations into communication materials for peer review and mid-to-upper-level management
Incorporate visualization techniques for less technical audiences
Identify and gather relevant, high-quality data sources through testing or exploratory data analysis
Integrate and transform disparate data sources and apply appropriate data hygiene techniques
Document assumptions, methodology, validation, and testing for peer review and compliance
Adopt emerging technology affecting scientific and quantitative analytical approaches
Present findings to influence management, business decisions, and strategy
Identify, measure, monitor, and control risks in accordance with risk and compliance policies

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor's degree in a quantitative analytics field such as Economics, Finance, Statistics, Mathematics, Actuarial Sciences, Operations Research, Data and/or Business Analysis, Data Science or another quantitative discipline; OR 4 years of related experience in statistics, mathematics or quantitative analytics may be substituted in lieu of degree
4 years of experience in data/analytics or functional business experience within the respective industry of responsibility; OR an advanced degree in a quantitative analytics field with 2 years of relevant experience
Competency in mathematical and statistical techniques and approaches used to drive fact-based decision-making
Intermediate and some advanced knowledge of data analysis tools, data visualization, SQL, SAS, BI tools or other analysis software, and relevant industry data and methods
Ability to connect external insights to business problems
Experience creating data-driven stories that engage and inform diverse audiences
Experience querying large databases and tables using Snowflake SQL, SAS, or Python
Advanced Excel experience with analyzing large data sets and creating visualizations
Experience creating data-driven presentations with insights to action
US military experience through military service or a military spouse/domestic partner is a preferred differentiator
Must not require immigration support or visa sponsorship, including H-1B, TN, or STEM OPT Training Plans
