About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead discovery, delivery, and performance of digital and technology products and experiences for USAA and its members
- Support Brokerage Servicing and Trading capabilities, including money movement, account funding, external account connectivity, investment account aggregation, and advisor enablement
- Partner with Brokerage Operations, advisors, technology teams, enterprise channel owners, and third-party platform providers
- Design and drive implementation of multi-platform technology and digital solutions
- Optimize products and experiences across delivery channels and platforms to drive KPIs and KRIs
- Employ User Centered Design and Design Thinking methodologies
- Develop product strategy, vision, and goals for complex, significant-scope products with portfolio-level or enterprise reach
- Identify opportunities using research, business and market intelligence, and data-driven insights
- Create and maintain product roadmaps and improve performance
- Translate product and experience opportunities into initiatives, requirements, epics, and features; drive execution strategy
- Shepherd complex product opportunities from idea to market validation with business, UX, technology, operations, marketing, and other stakeholders
- Drive, quantify, and defend product investments through business cases and hypotheses
- Analyze and report product performance against KPIs and KRIs; share best practices
- Generate insights to identify improvement opportunities and ensure improvements are implemented
- Prepare presentations and facilitate product definition, concept, collaboration, discovery, development, delivery, and validation sessions
- Conduct internal and external research and situational analysis to apply industry best practices and trends
- Manage ambiguity, drive clarity, solutions, and execution plans among teams and stakeholders
- Maintain expert knowledge of business, technology, UX, relevant experiences and processes, and Product Management
- Provide guidance and mentoring to team members and act as an escalation point
- Identify, measure, monitor, and control business risks in accordance with risk and compliance policies and procedures
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree OR 4 years of related experience may be substituted in lieu of degree; 12 years of relevant experience without a bachelor’s degree
- 8 years of Digital/Technology Product Management experience, including Strategy/Planning, Innovation, User Experience, Process Engineering, Analytics, and/or Research/Testing; OR an advanced degree and 6 years of such experience
- Comprehensive knowledge of Technology/Digital products and emerging technology platforms, applications, data analysis, and research techniques and standards
- Proven track record developing, influencing, presenting, and communicating highly complex business, digital, or technology concepts to cross-functional teams, non-technical users, and senior leadership
- US military experience through military service or a military spouse/domestic partner
- Experience leading digital product strategy, implementation, and optimization for brokerage, wealth management, investing, banking, or fintech platforms
- Experience owning money movement and account connectivity capabilities, including ACH transfers, external account linking, account aggregation, wire transfers, account funding, and transfer of assets
- Experience delivering advisor-facing tools and capabilities
- Experience partnering with third-party platform providers and managing complex vendor relationships
- Experience defining and delivering API-enabled and platform-based solutions across multiple technology teams and business stakeholders
- Ability to influence cross-functional partners and drive alignment across multiple organizations, priorities, and delivery teams without direct authority
