About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Manage and remain accountable for property claims operations member service teams
- Lead execution of change management, claims strategies, leader development and technology adoption
- Drive operational risk management, regulatory compliance training, policies and procedures across multiple teams
- Select, develop, lead and hold managers accountable for serving members and providing appropriate claims solutions
- Coach managers on claims handling, claims inspection, quality review and escalation response
- Achieve assigned goals, objectives and scorecard deliverables
- Plan, organize and control resources to deliver appropriate claims service
- Ensure compliance with regulations, policies, procedures and fair claims settlement practices
- Provide technical guidance, monitor claims reserves and extend settlement authority
- Manage service, loss control and loss adjustment expense
- Identify trends and develop action plans
- Research and influence the financial impact for the business area
- Inspire high-performance teams to deliver exceptional member experiences and results
- Remove obstacles and lead and champion change
- Ensure business risks are identified, measured, monitored and controlled according to risk and compliance policies and procedures
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's degree; OR 4 years of relevant education and/or experience
- 8 years of progressive customer service, operational, military or leadership experience, including a minimum 6 years of P&C experience with 4 years in claims
- 3 years of direct team lead or management experience
- Demonstrated team leadership, cross-functional collaboration, building business solutions, and/or claims accountabilities
- Experience using, interpreting, solutioning and leading with data
- 4 years of Property Claims Leadership experience
- Experience leading a team of 100 or more
- Ability to perform critical review of property estimates, emphasizing damage evaluation proficiency for roof/exterior losses
- Ability to analyze contractual policy provisions in a multi-state environment and provide appropriate guidance and settlement authority
- Proficiency with the Xactimate estimating platform
- Ability to effectively lead through strategic and organizational changes
- Ability to inspire/motivate, develop employees, coach effectively and promote talent
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, at times with extended hours, supporting operational claims teams
- Must not require immigration support or visa sponsorship now or in the future, including H-1B, TN or STEM OPT Training Plans
