About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead the strategy, development, execution, and oversight of Corporate Impact programs, initiatives, and partnerships
- Translate enterprise direction into actionable programs and measurable outcomes
- Oversee programs involving third-party partnerships and key stakeholders
- Develop and maintain relationships with local, national, and military-focused nonprofit organizations and community partners
- Create Memorandums of Understanding and associated performance measures
- Establish metrics and reporting processes to evaluate program impact and effectiveness
- Manage philanthropic investment budgets and related resources
- Oversee risk and compliance activities related to Corporate Impact programs
- Represent Corporate Impact in community, industry, and nonprofit engagements
- Collaborate with stakeholders across the Association to align initiatives with business and organizational objectives
- Apply research to inform program development and identify trends and opportunities
- Ensure adherence to governance, protocols, and program lifecycle requirements
- Lead continuous improvement efforts
- Build and lead a high-performing team through recruiting, development, retention, coaching, performance management, and employee support
- Identify, measure, monitor, and control risks in accordance with risk and compliance policies and procedures
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's degree in a business-related discipline, Public Relations, Communications, Human Resources, Corporate Social Responsibility, or a related field; OR 4 years of related experience in addition to the minimum years of experience required may be substituted in lieu of degree
- 8 years of experience in business development, product development, business operations, or philanthropic leadership
- 3 years of direct team lead or management experience
- Experience executing comprehensive corporate impact strategies aligned with business objectives and measurable societal outcomes
- Experience building, leading, and developing high-performing teams
- Experience managing complex third-party relationships, including nonprofit partnerships and grantmaking
- Expertise developing and implementing impact measurement frameworks and reporting for social impact initiatives
- Ability to influence and engage diverse stakeholders, including senior executives, community leaders, and nonprofit partners
- Strong business acumen and ability to translate organizational vision into actionable corporate impact strategies and operational plans

- Master's degree or accredited professional certification in a relevant field is preferred
- Experience in a financial services line of business role at a large corporation is preferred
- Knowledge of nonprofit/civic engagement in one or more USAA primary campus locations
- Knowledge of social issues and programs supporting the military
- Expertise in corporate social responsibility communications and storytelling
