Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead complex business challenges through financial forecasting, planning, and modeling
  • Strategize key financial areas for USAA's technology organization
  • Advise team members on advanced financial analysis and complex financial processes
  • Ensure work complies with regulatory requirements, company policies, and internal controls

  • Serve as a consultant and trusted advisor to senior leadership in long-range planning and financial issues
  • Make recommendations for short-term decisions and strategic financial business problems
  • Assist in developing financial strategy for supported operating companies
  • Identify problems and critical issues impacting financial operations and implement appropriate responses
  • Lead the development, coordination, and facilitation of business technology requirements
  • Assume leadership responsibility on select projects
  • Build and oversee teams through recruiting, development, retention, coaching, performance management, and managerial activities
  • Identify, measure, monitor, and control risks in accordance with risk and compliance policies and procedures

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or related field is required; OR 4 years of related experience may be substituted in lieu of degree
  • 6 years of financial analysis experience
  • 3 years of direct team lead or management experience
  • Demonstrated ability to develop talent, manage workflow and project execution, foster open communication, and manage and improve processes
  • Experience successfully communicating and influencing business decisions
  • Ability to effectively work with internal and external partners
  • USAA does not provide visa sponsorship; applicants must not require immigration support now or in the future
  • Experience presenting recommendations to senior leaders or directors
  • Experience supporting large technology organizations and complex investment portfolios is highly preferred
  • US military experience gained through military service or as a military spouse/domestic partner is a differentiator
  • Experience in Cyber Command, DISA, Pentagon operations, acquisition programs, technology modernization initiatives, cyber, procurement, logistics, technology integration, or AI-related programs is a differentiator
