About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Apply appropriate coverage and handle simple liability, evaluate, and settle high-volume, low-complexity auto claims involving repairable vehicles.
- Resolve claims through proactive problem solving and decision making within authority guidelines and under direct supervision.
- Document damage evaluation, investigation, negotiation, and settlement decisions.
- Collaborate with external and internal business partners to facilitate claims resolution and set expectations.
- Support members, business partners, and claimants through multiple communication channels and digital tools.
- Acquire and apply foundational knowledge of P&C insurance products, services, policy contracts, coverages, and claims-handling procedures.
- Apply basic knowledge of Auto Physical Damage.
- Support workload surges and catastrophe response operations, including on-call dates and work outside normal hours.
- Work various types of claims, including higher-complexity claims, and perform additional duties as assigned.
- Identify, measure, monitor, and control risks associated with business activities in accordance with risk and compliance policies and procedures.
Requirements
What you’ll need- High School Diploma or General Equivalency Diploma.
- Up to 1 year of customer service experience or military experience.
- Acquisition and maintenance of insurance adjuster license within 90 days and 3 attempts.
- Demonstrated ability to prioritize and multi-task, including navigating through multiple business applications.
- Successful completion of a job-related assessment may be required.
- Ability to support workload surges and catastrophe response operations, including mandatory on-call dates and potential evening, weekend, and/or holiday work outside normal work hours.
- May be assigned CAT deployment travel with minimal notice during designated CATs.
