About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Investigate, evaluate, and resolve auto bodily injury claims while delivering a high level of member service
  • Communicate with members, claimants, attorneys, and third parties to gather facts and provide updates
  • Analyze coverage, assess liability, and evaluate damages including medical injuries
  • Review and interpret medical records, police reports, and other claim documentation
  • Establish and manage claim reserves within authority guidelines
  • Develop and execute claim strategies to drive timely and fair resolution
  • Negotiate settlements with claimants within authority levels
  • Identify potential fraud and escalate concerns to appropriate teams
  • Maintain accurate and compliant claim file documentation
  • Partner with internal and external stakeholders to support claim resolution
  • Identify, measure, monitor, and control risks associated with business activities in accordance with risk and compliance policies and procedures
  • Complete instructor-led training, real-time claims handling, and one-on-one mentorships
  • Progress based on demonstrated competencies and performance
  • Transition to a hybrid schedule after successful completion of the apprenticeship program

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • High School Diploma or General Equivalency Diploma
  • Up to 1 year of experience in insurance, financial services, or customer-facing roles, OR successful completion of a minimum of one enlistment or commission commitment period in the United States Armed Forces with a Medical Military Occupational Specialty (MOS)
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
  • Effective communication skills with the ability to navigate sensitive conversations
  • Demonstrated ability to make decisions and solve problems
  • Organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Customer-focused mindset with empathy and professionalism
  • Willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to obtain and maintain required insurance adjuster license
  • Must be available Monday through Friday, 8am–5pm
  • Must work full-time, in-office five days per week during training
  • Must be based at the San Antonio, TX location
  • No relocation assistance available
