About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Participate in discussions with cross-functional teams to understand and collaborate on business objectives and influence solution strategies
- Apply advanced analytical techniques to solve medium- to large-scale business problems affecting current and future business strategy
- Apply scientific and quantitative analytical approaches to draw conclusions and make insight-to-action recommendations
- Translate recommendations into communication materials for peer review and senior/lead analysts
- Incorporate visualization techniques to support analysis and improve understanding for less technical audiences
- Identify and gather relevant, quality data sources through testing or exploratory data analysis
- Document assumptions, methodology, validation, and testing for peer reviews and compliance requirements
- Adopt emerging technology affecting scientific methodologies and quantitative analytical approaches
- Deliver analysis and findings to influence management, gain support for recommendations, drive business decisions, and influence business strategy
- Identify, measure, monitor, and control risks in accordance with risk and compliance policies and procedures
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's degree in a quantitative analytics field such as Economics, Finance, Statistics, Mathematics, Actuarial Sciences, Operations Research, Data and/or Business Analysis, Data Science or another quantitative discipline; OR 4 years of related experience in statistics, mathematics or quantitative analytics, in addition to the minimum years of experience required, may be substituted in lieu of degree
- 2 years of experience in data/analytics or functional business experience within the respective industry of responsibility (i.e. P&C, Bank, Finance) OR an advanced degree in a quantitative analytics field
- Intermediate knowledge of mathematical and statistical techniques and approaches used to drive fact-based decision-making
- Intermediate knowledge of data analysis tools, data visualization, developing analysis queries and procedures in SQL, SAS, BI tools or other analysis software
- Knowledge of relevant industry data and methods and ability to connect external insights to business problems
- Ability to analyze and interpret data from diverse sources to derive meaningful insights and actionable conclusions
- Applied experience in SQL for data extraction, cleaning, joining diverse datasets, and connecting customer data to channel activity
- Ability to design and evaluate test-and-learn strategies using sound statistical principles
- Experience with hypothesis testing, statistical significance, confidence intervals, and measurement methodologies
- Ability to clearly and simply explain complex findings to various stakeholders
