About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Provide analytical and operational support to the investment management process
  • Conduct research and statistical analysis of USAA investment portfolios
  • Perform asset allocation modeling and benchmarking
  • Complete ad hoc and recurring analysis
  • Research market trends and compile data
  • Prepare ad hoc reporting for internal or external stakeholders
  • Reconcile results consistent with fund or strategy objectives
  • Support client relationships and assist in business development
  • Develop understanding of fixed income, alternatives, and equity asset classes
  • Share asset-class knowledge with operations teams
  • Stay informed of industry initiatives and trends affecting portfolio analytics
  • Gather data for investment management reports and presentations
  • Support SLOD and TLOD data requests, including audits
  • Assist with risk and control inventory management and control testing
  • Develop and report Key Risk Indicators and Key Performance Indicators
  • Identify, measure, monitor, and control business risks in accordance with policies and procedures
  • Seek guidance to resolve issues and identify matters for escalation
  • Deliver analyses and reports promptly to meet stakeholder needs

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's degree; OR 4 years of relevant education and/or experience
  • Up to 2 years in financial analysis
  • Developing knowledge and experience within the investment industry or related financial services industry required
  • Knowledge of applicable regulatory and compliance laws and regulations
  • Developing knowledge and use of Microsoft Office applications
  • Prior use of investment analytic tools such as Bloomberg or Aladdin is a preferred differentiator
  • Financial and/or investment analysis experience
  • Must not require immigration support or visa sponsorship now or in the future
  • Ability to work in the office 4 days per week
  • Must be based in San Antonio, TX, or Plano, TX
  • Relocation assistance is not available
