About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead discussions with cross-functional teams to understand complex business objectives and influence solution strategies
- Apply advanced analytical techniques to solve large-scale business problems with significant strategic impact
- Organize and oversee requirements and resources needed to meet established objectives
- Apply innovative scientific and quantitative analytical approaches to make recommendations and drive appropriate change
- Translate recommendations into communication materials for all levels of management
- Use visualization techniques to make analysis understandable to less technical audiences
- Identify and gather relevant, high-quality data sources through testing or exploratory data analysis
- Integrate and transform disparate data sources and apply appropriate data hygiene techniques
- Document assumptions, methodology, validation, and testing for peer review and compliance
- Monitor and adopt emerging technologies affecting scientific and quantitative analytical methodologies
- Deliver complex analysis and findings to influence senior executives, business decisions, and strategy
- Provide subject matter expertise in operationalizing recommendations
- Research and pursue leading practices in cloud, data mining, Python, neural networks, sensor data, IoT, and streaming/near-real-time data
- Continue learning through informal or formal data and analytics education
- Innovate by creating and incorporating new and emerging data sets into insights
- Ensure risks associated with business activities are identified, measured, monitored, and controlled according to risk and compliance policies
- Develop member-value strategies and analytics for member relationships, engagement, satisfaction, financial security, and AI-enabled member interactions
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's degree in Economics, Finance, Statistics, Mathematics, Actuarial Sciences, Operations Research, Data and/or Business Analysis, Data Science, or a business or quantitative field; OR 4 years of relevant education and/or experience
- 8 years of experience in a decision support analytic function OR an advanced degree in a relevant discipline and 6 years of experience in a decision support analytic function
- Expert skills in mathematical and statistical techniques and approaches used to drive fact-based decision-making
- Expert knowledge of data analysis tools, data visualization, developing analysis queries and procedures in SQL, SAS, BI tools or other analysis software, and relevant industry data and methods
- Ability to connect external insights to business problems
- Experience with new and emerging data sets and incorporating data wrangling and data munging into new insights
- 5+ years of experience using SQL and Python to analyze data, develop insights, and support marketing decision-making
- US military experience gained through military service or as a military spouse/domestic partner
- Experience serving as a trusted advisor to senior executives
- Ability to influence across a complex organization and deliver results without direct authority
- Executive communication and presentation skills
- Ability to translate complex business challenges into clear recommendations and action plans
- Self-directed and proactive ability to anticipate needs, remove obstacles, and advance strategic priorities
- Must not require immigration support or visa sponsorship now or in the future
