About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Manage and assess risks and opportunities across the Bank's consumer portfolios
  • Translate analytical results into strategic solutions
  • Develop and improve complex analytical frameworks
  • Analyze data and processes and communicate insights to stakeholders and leadership
  • Develop advanced quantitative analyses using internal and external data sources
  • Challenge risk proposals through research, vetting, banking product knowledge, regulatory knowledge, and critical thinking
  • Design, build, and help maintain risk management frameworks
  • Develop and oversee risk reporting for management and committee oversight
  • Design complex financial risk sensitivity analyses
  • Provide thought leadership, coaching, and mentoring to team members
  • Execute or implement advanced credit and/or financial modeling infrastructure
  • Ensure business risks are identified, measured, monitored, and controlled according to risk and compliance policies
  • Partner across Risk, Finance, Modeling, Product, and Operations teams
  • Identify emerging risks, challenge assumptions, and support strategic business decisions

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Management, Finance, Economics, Engineering, or Mathematics; OR 4 years of relevant education and/or experience
  • 6 years of experience in an analytical field or work focused on leading risk management execution, assessments, or advanced analytics; OR 4 years of such experience with an advanced degree; OR equivalent demonstrated competencies
  • 2 years of prior analytical experience in a financial services or highly regulated environment
  • Experience developing and maintaining analytical reporting
  • Experience applying critical thinking skills to support successful performance outcomes
  • Awareness of relevant laws, rules, and regulations, including OCC Heightened Standards
  • Strong knowledge of Python, SAS, or SQL
  • Advanced experience in FHA credit risk analytics
  • Experience with mortgage, home equity, HELOC, or consumer lending environments
  • Understanding of credit performance drivers, underwriting practices, and portfolio management
  • Experience with Python, SAS, SQL, or VS Code
  • Ability to mentor and develop junior analysts
  • Ability to lead through influence and partner across Risk, Finance, Modeling, Product, and Operations teams
  • US military experience through military service or a military spouse/domestic partner
  • Must not require current or future visa sponsorship or immigration support
