About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Support Investment Nurturing efforts within USAA Investment Services Company
- Help build dashboards for daily, near-real-time business management
- Maintain operational dashboards, Nurturing dashboards, analytics insights, and supervisory tools after launch
- Collaborate with analytics and reporting teammates across the Investment Advisory team
- Provide quantitative and qualitative analysis on industry trends, market developments, USAA's strategic direction, regulatory environment, and macroeconomic trends
- Identify business assumptions and hypotheses around line-of-business strategy
- Refine hypotheses and identify business questions for further exploration
- Integrate analytic strategy with business strategy
- Develop analytical frameworks and blueprints to answer business questions
- Evaluate strategic insights related to Profit & Loss performance, product strategy, pricing, marketing, sales, credit risk, distribution channels, and member experience
- Define outcome measures, improve prioritization and decision agility, evaluate progress toward business outcomes, and assess risks to strategic goals
- Manipulate and interpret business results using advanced data-driven problem-solving techniques
- Translate findings into insights for strategy management and execution
- Communicate strategic insights to senior leaders and key stakeholders to drive business decisions
- Provide guidance and on-the-job training to team members
- Identify, measure, monitor, and control risks in accordance with risk and compliance policies and procedures
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's degree in business, Science, Finance, Economics or related field, OR 4 years of relevant education and/or experience may be substituted in lieu of degree; total of 10 years of experience without bachelor's degree
- 6 years of data and/or analytics or strategy consulting experience, OR 4 years of data and/or analytics or strategy consulting experience plus up to 2 years of progressive functional business relevant experience, OR an advanced degree and 4 years of data and/or analytics or strategy consulting experience
- Experience identifying business needs and managing strategic plans driven by qualitative/quantitative analysis and market insights
- Demonstrated experience using data analytics to formulate data-driven insights and influence business decisions
- Experience performing complex data analysis using Microsoft Excel, Tableau, R, Python, SQL, Snowflake, SAS, or Adobe Analytics
- Demonstrated experience in project management
