About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Support and enable the product roadmap and execution for a centralized decisioning and orchestration platform
  • Represent the business on an Agile team and communicate business vision and needs
  • Write, refine, accept and prioritize user stories and features
  • Own and maintain prioritized work backlogs for one or more Agile teams
  • Ensure user stories include complete acceptance criteria and review/accept development outputs
  • Represent the customers' perspective throughout the product delivery cycle
  • Partner with development teams and product managers on release schedules, business validation and production deployments
  • Participate in cross-functional teams to develop, execute and release work aligned with roadmaps
  • Facilitate, define and document business processes with sponsors, stakeholders and IT
  • Prepare the business for change and provide tactics and metrics for benefits, adoption and risk
  • Oversee development, testing and controls across internal and external technologies
  • Enhance and advance the business development/execution function
  • Coach and mentor other Product Owners
  • Lead development across multiple teams at the project or program level
  • Identify, measure, monitor and control risks in accordance with risk and compliance policies and procedures
  • Support the evolution of USAA's next best experience platform with personalized, real-time, context-aware experiences

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's degree; OR 4 years of relevant education and/or experience
  • 6 years of experience in process improvement, project delivery, business/requirements analysis or directly related to supported business operations/product line
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office products, applicable databases and product management tools
  • Advanced knowledge of multiple technical software delivery methodologies (i.e., Agile, Waterfall, SAFe)
  • Advanced experience analyzing business requirements, process flows and use cases to identify opportunities to streamline business processes in accordance with risk management framework and regulatory requirements
  • Advanced knowledge and demonstrated use of Process Engineering methodologies
  • Advanced ability to independently gather business requirements, process flows and use cases to develop and deliver business capabilities within the approved methodology, write user stories, and follow the development process through user story acceptance
  • Experience analyzing business requirements and identifying opportunities to drive decisions and streamline business processes in accordance with risk management framework and regulatory requirements
  • Advanced experience leveraging data analysis tools and platforms (e.g., Adobe Analytics, Snowflake)
  • Advanced knowledge of development lifecycle management tools (Jira, ServiceNow, Qtest)
  • Advanced knowledge of mobile and web platform development with both backend and frontend experience
  • U.S. military experience gained through military service or as a military spouse/domestic partner
  • Must not require immigration support or visa sponsorship now or in the future
