About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead teams or processes in delivering financial forecasts and plans for business areas or functions
- Guide team members and oversee forecasting/planning process and model improvement initiatives
- Prepare and guide teams on complex financial reports, analyses, and cost-benefit analyses
- Provide insights to internal and external management decision-making
- Interpret complex financial information and make recommendations to business leaders
- Implement solutions to key financial and operational opportunities
- Deliver value-added business decision support to customers and business partners
- Lead product assignments, product pricing, product profitability, and ad-hoc analysis
- Provide proactive analysis and business insights to support effective decision-making and efficient resource utilization
- Interact with senior management and company leadership
- Guide teams and promote innovation and productivity
- Apply advanced knowledge of the business, products, and processes
- Serve as a resource to team members on escalated issues
- Identify, measure, monitor, and control risks in accordance with risk and compliance policies and procedures
- Ensure activities comply with regulatory and compliance guidelines
- Mentor team members in advanced financial processes and analyses
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, Economics, or related field; OR 4 years of relevant education and/or experience
- 6 years of experience conducting complex financial/accounting analysis and providing actionable insights to various stakeholders OR advanced degree, progress towards a CPA or CFA designation, and 4 years of financial/accounting analysis or related work experience
- Experience using financial/accounting technologies
- Experience communicating key financial/accounting concepts
- Finance/accounting experience in a financial services environment
- Experience using Microsoft Office Excel for significant financial data analysis
- Experience in the application and adherence to financial regulations and compliance
- Experience producing financial reports and providing recommendations based on data
- Working knowledge of GAAP

- Experience as a Financial Analyst within the Property & Casualty insurance industry supporting Claims analytics
- Experience using SQL, Tableau and Snowflake; VSCode a plus
