About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Support planning of the fully digital-first marketing lifecycle, including strategy, member research, planning, direct response marketing, agency management, creative development, compliant execution, analytics and optimization, and performance management
- Provide input into development and implementation of marketing plans and campaigns to build and deepen USAA's relationship with existing members and acquire new members
- Provide insights into marketing budget allocations across products and channels to deliver sustainable growth at efficient Cost per Account (CPAs) at scale
- Understand and provide input into the digital acquisition experience
- Support adoption of new ways of working and leverage storytelling to drive understanding and adoption of change
- Apply knowledge of external practices in the digital space
- Apply understanding of product-related regulations and risk and compliance requirements
- Keep the USAA brand and mission to serve the military community at the forefront of new marketing practices
- Ensure risks associated with business activities are identified, measured, monitored, and controlled according to risk and compliance policies and procedures
- Collaborate with Product, Risk, Analytics, and other internal stakeholders to drive account growth
- Participate in ideation, planning, execution, measurement, and optimization of marketing campaigns
- Drive continuous testing and learning, improve marketing initiatives, and allocate marketing investments effectively
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's degree; OR 4 years of relevant education and/or experience
- 4 years of relevant work experience in financial services
- Hands-on experience in conversion channels, including Paid Search, Affiliates, and Direct Mail
- Experience collaborating with key partners and stakeholders, influencing decisions, and managing work to achieve strategic goals
- Business acumen in business operations, industry practices, and emerging trends
- Knowledge of Product Marketing, including growth objectives, marketing plans, performance reporting, incremental growth consumer definition, situation assessment, financial analysis, and marketing strategy
- Understanding of specific laws and rules governing consumer products
- Effective verbal and written communication skills, with ability to adjust communication style based on the audience
- Strong analytical skills with ability to analyze and evaluate information
- Demonstrated success partnering with cross-functional teams, aligning priorities, and managing competing demands in a matrixed organization
- Proactive problem-solving approach and active interest in continuous learning
- Ability to self-direct and identify opportunities with a high degree of autonomy
- U.S. military experience through military service or as a military spouse/domestic partner is listed as a differentiator
