About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Provide executive leadership and guidance in the development, maintenance, and application of data analytics
  • Develop insights and recommendations supporting P&C pricing and product objectives and strategies
  • Develop and execute pricing plans for the Personal Lines General Manager
  • Build relationships with product line leaders, experience owners, product development leaders, senior financial officers, analytic leaders, and regulators
  • Build and lead a high-performing team of analytical and actuarial employees
  • Develop analyses and tools enabling data-driven product management decisions
  • Partner with product line leadership to develop analytical acumen within product management teams
  • Lead teams supporting new product development and innovation
  • Direct technology investment requirements and capability modernization
  • Develop tools and procedures enabling state managers to make timely, analysis-informed pricing decisions
  • Lead competitive intelligence and deliver actionable insights
  • Provide comparative analysis of competitor pricing and segmentation models, including modeling programs against competitors to evaluate relative lift
  • Ensure business risks are identified, measured, monitored, and controlled under risk and compliance policies

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Statistics, or quantitative field; OR 4 years of relevant education and/or experience
  • Fellow of the Casualty Actuarial Society (FCAS) designation
  • 10 years of progressive related experience developing strategies, managing major initiatives and delivering results within a complex matrix environment
  • 8 years of people leadership experience building, managing and/or developing high-performing teams
  • Experience collaborating with key resources and stakeholders, influencing decisions and managing work to achieve strategic goals
  • Executive-level business acumen in business operations, industry practices, regulatory relations, and emerging trends
  • FCAS credential with deep personal lines pricing expertise
  • Experience translating complex actuarial insights into business decisions
  • Proven leadership of large, multi-functional actuarial organizations
  • Experience overseeing state pricing, rate management, and actuarial operations teams
  • Experience modernizing pricing environments through automation, process improvement, and operational excellence initiatives
  • Strategic change leadership and organizational transformation experience
  • US military experience through military service or as a military spouse/domestic partner
  • Must not require immigration support now or in the future; USAA does not provide visa sponsorship
