About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Serve as a subject matter expert for report development using SQL, SSIS, and SSRS
  • Support best practices and standards for repeatable reporting
  • Create and maintain reporting queries, new business reporting applications, and databases for ad-hoc reports
  • Create complex sales-analysis reports and dashboards using Power BI, SQL Server Management Studio, Visual Studio, and Excel
  • Prepare high-level new sales analysis and reports for partners, sales, and executive management
  • Participate in and provide analysis for sales, inventory, corporate projects, and revenue-growth initiatives
  • Provide sales-reporting guidance to Sales Performance Analysts I and II
  • Act as an analytics point of contact for assigned partners and internal stakeholders
  • Own escalation management for reporting issues, including documenting root causes, coordinating corrective actions, communicating status and ETAs, and validating fixes through reconciliation and controls
  • Perform other related duties and responsibilities as assigned

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, related field, or equivalent related experience
  • 3+ years relevant work experience specializing in report development using SQL
  • 3+ years relevant work experience in MS Reporting Services (SSRS) and SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS)
  • 3+ years of experience with Power BI, including report development, dashboard creation, and data transformation, cleansing, and shaping processes within Power BI (Tableau equivalent experience accepted)
  • 3-5 years of experience using database applications
  • 5-7 years of experience writing and/or modifying queries and expressions in MS Excel
  • Or, equivalent military experience
  • Ability to travel 5% of time
  • Strong functional knowledge of SQL Server Management Studio and Visual Studio
  • Strong functional knowledge of Power BI
  • Strong functional knowledge of Excel, including VLOOKUP, HLOOKUP, XLOOKUP, and Pivot Tables
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Teams
  • Ability to work in a remote team environment
  • Strong oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Analytical, problem solving, and decision-making skills
  • Excellent organizational, detail orientation, and time management skills
  • Ability to handle confidential information
  • Ability to multitask and perform under deadline pressure in a changing environment
  • Ability to question discrepancies and make recommendations
  • Applicants must be authorized to work for ANY employer in the U.S.
  • Preferred: Salesforce reporting tools, AI-enabled reporting tools, Microsoft Certified: Power BI Data Analyst Associate (PL-300), insurance industry sales data analytics, LOMA courses or similar certifications, and MS SharePoint Online
