About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Aggregate and analyze clinical data and quality reports supporting contract execution and justification
- Aggregate and analyze partnership and programmatic data and quality reports supporting institutional effectiveness and accreditation
- Design study protocols and complete power analyses
- Prepare grants and perform literature reviews
- Develop data extraction forms; extract, manage, and analyze data
- Conduct statistical analyses including descriptive statistics, hypothesis testing, survival analysis, and multivariable modeling
- Provide biostatistical and research-methodology insight and propose statistical approaches for research and quality-improvement efforts
- Disseminate and present scholarly, research, and clinical results
- Report to the Assistant Dean Clinical Affairs
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's degree in Biostatistics, Statistics, Epidemiology, or a related field and a minimum of two years of professional experience; or a master's degree in one of the same fields
- Four years of direct experience may substitute for a bachelor's degree under the Degree Equivalency Clause
- Knowledge of statistical concepts, methods, and techniques used in clinical research studies
- Proficiency in STATA, SAS, R, or SPSS
- Understanding of experimental design, sample size calculations, and randomization methodologies
- Ability to communicate complex statistical concepts to non-statisticians
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively
- Ability to travel to other USF campuses and/or other locations as requested
- Ability to perform required physical activities and lift up to 20 lbs as needed
