About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Facilitate the creation of EBA accounts within the Department of Pediatrics
- Complete account paperwork, obtain signatures, and maintain records of account purposes and approvals
- Perform monthly account reconciliations and advise senior leadership of budget variances
- Provide annual budget numbers to Pediatrics stakeholders and MCOM central budgeting
- Track EBA payroll, faculty costing percentages, effort, and buy downs
- Prepare and route FAST billing, maintain billing setups and account/product codes, and follow up on payments
- Track bills and payment cycles; coordinate with central billing and accounts receivable on issues
- Create and update faculty costing and prepare costing forms and approvals
- Purchase EBA supplies and pay facility leases and operational costs using Bull Marketplace (BMP)
- Reconcile EBA salary and expense lines and adjust staff costing to match effort
- Oversee the Children's Research Institute building, including call boxes, safety/accessibility updates, facility tickets, and emergency facility issues
- Advise senior leadership and coordinate with departments using the CRI space
- Assist the Chair with applications or processes if the CRI becomes a center
- Perform other duties supporting Pediatrics Finance Office operations
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or another field directly related to the position's responsibilities and 4-6 years of fiscal related work experience; or Bachelor's degree in any field and four years of fiscal related work experience; or six years of fiscal related work experience
- Level II Background Check
- Employment eligibility requirements in the U.S.
- Preferred: 1+ years of experience in financial management for a university-related clinical practice, especially with University EBA or Auxiliary accounts
