About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Assist with direct marketing responsibilities, including data proofing
Review and execute text messages and emails
Initiate communications with vendors
Research and assist with marketing campaigns
Maintain the Advancement Community Marketing Calendar (ACMC)
Support the Direct Marketing team in University Annual Giving & Stewardship in the Office of Engagement
Perform other similar tasks within University Annual Giving & Stewardship
Report to the Assistant Director, Direct Marketing

Requirements

Federal work-study eligible students only
Current UVA student
Federal work-study eligibility required
Resume required
Ability to work remotely with periodic in-person collaboration and responsibilities
Strong communication and organizational skills
Excellent time management
Expert attention to detail
Knowledge of Microsoft Office, Canva, and Adobe applications such as Acrobat Pro
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Ability to juggle multiple projects simultaneously
Must sign an NDA
Available for 10–20 hours per week during Fall 2026 and Spring 2027 semesters
