About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Resolve patient and insurance issues through phone calls, voicemails, correspondence, and work with walk-in patients
- Verify patient account balances, take payments, and enter payments into the system
- Communicate and collaborate with team members for account resolution
- Process mail and patient refunds as needed
- Perform cash posting, billing, and patient follow-up as needed
- Handle 95% of calls presented to individual Customer Service Call Center queues
- Fully document account activity in the patient accounting system
Requirements
What you’ll need- One year of health care experience preferred, either with a physician, a hospital, or in admissions
- Must be able to live and work primarily in one of the listed states: AZ, CO, CT, FL, GA, ID, IL, KS, MA, MD, MI, NC, NJ, OH, OR, PA, SC, TN, TX, UT, VA, WA, or WI
