About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Diagnose non-psychiatric medical problems, behavioral health disorders, and substance use disorders
  • Provide evidence-based treatments for diagnosed disorders
  • Prescribe evidence-based treatments
  • Bill for services in a timely manner
  • Document important clinical events in the electronic medical record system
  • Provide professional leadership, mentoring, and general guidance for other medical team members
  • Educate clients and families about individual treatment plans
  • Support multiple clinics
  • Follow agency documentation policies for assessments, care plans, treatment transitions, discharge plans, and client care
  • Collaborate with internal and external multidisciplinary teams on clinical treatment matters
  • Adhere to ethical and legal standards set by licensing boards and state regulations
  • Meet direct care expectations
  • Participate in ongoing professional development activities to meet licensure, certification, and agency requirements

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Master or Doctorate degree in advanced practice nursing from an accredited organization
  • APRN license in state of practice
  • DEA license in state of practice
  • Valley de-escalation certification
  • Waiver to prescribe buprenorphine if applicable
  • Preferred: 1–2 years of previous FNP or PMHNP experience
  • Schedule availability Monday–Friday, 8:00 am–5:00 pm, with flexibility to switch to a 4/10 schedule once quality metrics and productivity expectations are met
  • Ability to support multiple clinics and attend up to 4 in-person program visits per month
