Independently perform and report laboratory findings
Follow policies and procedures of the Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine
Comply with FDA, CAP, AABB, OSHA, CLIA, and JCAHO regulations
Perform and evaluate complex laboratory testing accurately and efficiently
Operate laboratory instrumentation and information systems
Troubleshoot technical issues
Maintain quality and patient safety standards
Prioritize workload and work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
Provide training and guidance to students and new staff

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor's degree
Certification at the Medical Technologist level (ASCP, AMT, or Equivalent), or categorical certification consistent with the work performed: C, H, I, BB, M (ASCP)
1-year clinical laboratory experience
Comprehensive knowledge of clinical laboratory principles, testing methodologies, instrumentation, quality assurance, and regulatory requirements
Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills
Proficiency in laboratory information systems and standard computer applications
Excellent organizational, communication, and time management skills
Ability to prioritize workload, work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
Ability to troubleshoot technical issues and maintain quality and patient safety standards
Ability to provide training and guidance to students and new staff
Professionalism, accountability, and sound judgment
