About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Analyze customer needs and seek solutions to customer design problems
- Integrate Company products into customers' systems or subsystems
- Apply current products to increase market penetration
- Perform analysis, implementation, testing, and documentation using application design documents and requirements specifications
- Serve as Lead Engineer and/or project team member for DCS projects
- Analyze, design, implement, test, and document project application software using Valmet product tools
- Code and/or assist in coding and testing project custom software
- Execute Configuration Management and Quality Assurance procedures on projects
- Provide on-site customer support as needed
- Interact directly with customers regarding project software modifications
- Develop and/or assist in technical proposal preparation
- Perform related duties as assigned
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's degree in a job-related field, or 4–7 years of related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Knowledge of algorithm design and programming logic
- Proficient problem-solving capabilities
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office products
- Knowledge of process instrumentation, control and automation practices preferred
- Electro-mechanically inclined, self-guided, and strong work ethic
- Valid driver's license
- Authorized to work in the US
- Position is not open for relocation
- Some travel required
- Background check required as a condition of employment
