About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Operate stacker crane to support storeroom, shipping and manufacturing
  • Use tape measure and micrometer to measure raw material dimensions
  • Operate straddle trucks and forklifts to move product
  • Maintain inventory accuracy during staging, loading/unloading, and delivery
  • Perform cycle counts
  • Use inventory picklists to remove product for manufacturing WIP and shipping orders
  • Load products and materials onto trailers and stage loaded trailers
  • Transport bolster materials to and from inventory locations and staging areas
  • Help perform preventive maintenance on equipment
  • Report unsafe issues to department lead, supervisor, or maintenance technician
  • Maintain housekeeping and keep work area free of debris and trash
  • Dispose of scrap tubes properly
  • Use stacker magnetic crane to unload materials from trailers and rail cars and receive them into inventory
  • Execute proper inventory transactions
  • Maintain required professional competencies, certifications, and licenses
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Read tape measure & micrometer
  • Ability to read & write and perform basic math: add, subtract, decimals and fraction
  • Become a certified forklift operator
  • Become proficient in operating a straddle truck
  • Complete overhead crane training program
  • High School Diploma or GED (highly qualified)
  • 1-year prior experience operating a Stacker Overhead Crane (highly qualified)
  • 1-year prior experience working in a manufacturing environment (highly qualified)
  • 1-year prior working experience operating heavy equipment (highly qualified)
  • Ability to accurately and honestly check one’s own work for quality assurance
  • Must be a person of passion and integrity with the drive to excel and deliver exceptional results
  • Ability to wear required PPE
  • Ability to lift 35–50 lbs. approximately 80–90% of the time
  • Ability to stand, bend, or walk 85% of the time
  • Ability to climb up to 8 feet off the ground
  • Maximum required lift of 50 lbs.
