About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Review part numbers entered in the IFS system to ensure manufacturability within specified limitations
- Print/view drawings of record on selected orders
- Review part assemblies and component parts against site manufacturing limitations
- Update standard part-number costs in IFS and roll costs as required
- Create CNC files for production
- Perform time studies on the production floor
- Route parts and orders for multiple sites
- Maintain and control standard Valmont routes
- Report directly to the Sr. Manager, Manufacturing Support Services
- Work in office settings and different production-floor areas
Requirements
What you’ll need- High school diploma and 4+ years of work/educational experience or Associates Degree
- Ability to do basic math: addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, fractions and decimals
- Knowledge of or the ability to learn IFS, EVA, Microsoft Office, and CNC programming using basic AutoCAD
- Ability to read and interpret production drawings
- Excellent communication, organizational, analytical, and interpersonal skills
- Positive, professional attitude in a fast paced, hectic work environment
- Passion, integrity, drive to excel and deliver exceptional results
- Highly qualified: Six months experience using AutoCAD in a professional environment
- Strong leadership skills
- Ability to work effectively and efficiently in a virtual team environment
- Ability to sit, walk, and stand for extended periods
- Ability to work in manufacturing-site hazards including noise, fumes, heat/cold, dust, welding arc, chemicals, fire, smoke, unstable debris and confined spaces
- Occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 pounds
- Close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception
