About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Manage inbound and outbound calls related to patient accounts
  • Ensure the highest level of patient satisfaction
  • Use, protect, and disclose patient protected health information (PHI) in accordance with HIPAA standards
  • Interact with patients via phone, email, or online chat to provide account or upcoming procedure support and information
  • Assist patients with inquiries regarding their account, charge descriptions, and insurance
  • Coordinate with various departments to ensure patient requests are handled appropriately and timely
  • Identify opportunities to improve departmental and company processes and services
  • Maintain a strong knowledge of client processes
  • Support the team through strong attendance and performance
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Healthcare customer service experience required
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills, including active listening
  • Working knowledge of EOB’s, CPT and DX codes
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Knowledge of HIPAA and PHI guidelines
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word)
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability and desire to work in a remote environment
  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer
  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times
