Key responsibilities & impact

Design, implement, configure, and maintain Microsoft Azure cloud infrastructure solutions
Deploy and administer Azure virtual machines, storage accounts, virtual networks, and databases
Engineer, administer, maintain, and troubleshoot Azure cloud, virtual desktop, and Microsoft 365 environments
Administer, configure, secure, and maintain Windows Server operating systems in Azure
Build, configure, and harden Windows servers according to security requirements
Perform advanced Azure Active Directory administration
Administer and support Microsoft Intune for device and endpoint management
Develop, maintain, and optimize PowerShell scripts for automation, deployments, and monitoring
Implement infrastructure automation using infrastructure-as-code methodologies and tools
Monitor cloud infrastructure performance, diagnose technical issues, and resolve production incidents
Collaborate with security teams on cloud security best practices and technical risk mitigation
Support migration of applications, software, and services to Microsoft Azure
Collaborate with system architects, developers, and product teams on cloud-based solutions
Participate in Agile/Scrum meetings, technical planning, and project execution
Develop and maintain technical documentation, SOPs, configurations, and troubleshooting procedures
Evaluate cloud infrastructure and recommend performance, reliability, security, and efficiency improvements
Provide customer service and white-glove technical support to customers and stakeholders

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or an adjacent technical discipline and a minimum of 3 years of relevant professional experience, OR a minimum of 6 years of relevant professional experience without a bachelor's degree
Hands-on experience engineering, administering, and supporting Microsoft Azure cloud environments
Strong knowledge of Microsoft Azure infrastructure and IaaS, SaaS, and PaaS cloud service models
Advanced knowledge of Windows Server operating systems deployed in Microsoft Azure
Experience building, configuring, securing, and hardening Windows servers
Experience administering and troubleshooting Microsoft Azure virtual desktop environments
Experience administering and supporting Microsoft 365 services
Advanced experience with Azure Active Directory management and administration
Experience administering and managing environments using Microsoft Intune
Strong PowerShell scripting capabilities, including administrative automation development and maintenance
Experience implementing or supporting automated cloud infrastructure deployments
Familiarity with Azure DevOps or other CI/CD tools
Ability to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues involving cloud infrastructure, identity management, and Microsoft services
Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work independently, manage multiple technical priorities, and collaborate across engineering and product teams
Ability to obtain DHS Entry on Duty (EOD) authorization
Ability to work on-site in Ashburn, Virginia, at least one day per week
