About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Drive revenue growth and market expansion across the assigned territory
- Build and execute a territory plan across dairy and beef operations
- Identify, target, and convert new sales with dairy operations, dealer stores, nutritionists, and feed channels
- Align with distribution networks to increase product movement and market penetration
- Position solutions that improve intake, animal health, and producer profitability
- Demonstrate product applications and provide technical support and customer training
- Spend a minimum of 3+ days per week on-farm building relationships and closing business with distribution partners
- Maintain a disciplined sales pipeline, follow up on leads, and create new opportunities
- Attend tradeshows, producer meetings, and industry events as assigned and approved by management
- Consistently meet or exceed revenue targets, create new accounts, and convert distributor relationships into measurable sales growth
Requirements
What you’ll need- 3+ years of technical and direct sales experience related to livestock, agriculture, or a related industry required
- Experience conducting training sessions to educate clients on product usage
- Ability to problem-solve, adapt to new challenges, and work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment
- Bachelor's degree in animal science, agricultural business, animal health, or related field preferred
- Prior experience in the dairy, beef, livestock, animal health, or animal nutrition industries required
- Proven ability to prospect, close, and grow accounts
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- High level of self-accountability and discipline
- Willingness to travel as required to meet clients and attend industry events
