About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Build and execute a territory plan to deliver consistent growth across dairy and beef operations
- Identify, target, and convert sales with dairy operations, dealer stores, nutritionists, veterinarians, and feed channels
- Align with distribution networks to increase product movement and market penetration
- Position solutions that improve intake, animal health, and producer profitability
- Spend at least 3 days per week in the field on-farm, building relationships and closing business with distribution networks
- Maintain a disciplined sales pipeline, follow up on leads, and create new opportunities
- Attend tradeshows, producer meetings, and industry events as assigned and approved by management
- Build new accounts and drive revenue growth and market expansion across the territory
Requirements
What you’ll need- 3+ years of direct sales experience related to livestock, agriculture, or a related industry required
- Experience in dairy, beef, livestock, animal health, or animal nutrition required
- Bachelor's degree in animal science, agricultural business, animal health, business, or a related field strongly preferred
- Proven ability to prospect, close, and grow accounts
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- High level of self-accountability and discipline
- Willingness to travel for on-farm visits, tradeshows, and training
- Minimum 3+ days per week on-farm
