About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Develop and maintain relationships with healthcare organizations, clinical leaders, clinicians, preceptors, alumni, and external partners
- Conduct outreach to prospective clinical partners and preceptors through telephone, email, networking, alumni engagement, and events
- Serve as a point of contact for VUSN clinical partners and preceptors
- Maintain communication with existing partners to support retention
- Identify opportunities to expand partnerships and develop new relationships
- Re-engage inactive or underutilized clinical partners and preceptors
- Collaborate with Clinical Affairs staff and faculty to identify partnership development needs
- Coordinate resolution of partner concerns
- Represent VUSN at partner meetings, site visits, community events, and professional gatherings
- Maintain the CRM database and accurate partnership records
- Build pipelines for prospective partners and preceptors
- Document outreach, follow-up, and relationship activity
- Use CRM data to identify inactive relationships, prospective partners, geographic or specialty gaps, and network-growth opportunities
- Develop dashboards and reports measuring outreach, engagement, retention, and network growth
- Promote consistent CRM use and data-management practices
- Identify opportunities to use technology, automation, and data to improve relationship management
- Manage and monitor the clinical partnerships budget
- Develop and maintain payment processes for clinical partners and preceptors
- Coordinate payment processing with university financial and administrative offices
- Maintain financial records and reconcile partnership expenditures
- Support forecasting and annual budget planning
- Improve payment workflows and partner payment experience
- Maintain financial documentation and internal controls
- Develop strategies to recruit, engage, recognize, and retain clinical partners and preceptors
- Coordinate preceptor recognition and engagement initiatives
- Develop communications and outreach campaigns
- Collaborate on marketing, communications, alumni engagement, and external outreach
- Communicate the value of partnering with VUSN
- Gather partner feedback and identify improvements to the partnership experience
- Help create a consistent VUSN presence in the clinical community
- Report administratively and functionally to the Director of Clinical Affairs Operations
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution or relevant job experience is required
- Master's or MBA preferred
- Degree in business, marketing, healthcare administration, communications, public relations, or a related business-focused discipline strongly preferred
- Two to four years of relevant professional, internship, or co-op experience in business development, sales, marketing, account/relationship management, healthcare administration, recruiting, or a related area preferred
- Practical experience with Salesforce, Slate, HubSpot, Microsoft Dynamics 365, or a comparable CRM
- Experience managing contracts, interactions, opportunities, follow-up, and CRM data
- Strong proficiency with business technology and productivity tools
- Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
- Strong organization, attention to detail, initiative, follow-through, adaptability, and ability to manage competing priorities independently
- Must reside in or relocate to greater Nashville
- Must maintain approximately 30% on-campus presence, with additional local meetings, site visits, networking, and partner engagement as needed
- Nursing or clinical experience is not required
