About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Analyze donor data to identify actionable insights supporting strategic decision-making and business planning
- Set and track Giving Day goals for donor affiliations and campus partners
- Prepare donor insights, school/unit, engagement, and fundraising reports
- Collect, submit, and track activity data while ensuring coding integrity
- Maintain accurate and comprehensive data in Vanderbilt systems
- Provide ad hoc reporting and analysis
- Project-manage approved crowdfunding and specialty campaigns
- Coordinate campaign approvals, website assets, reviews, updates, and partner communications
- Write and proof specialty campaign solicitation and stewardship materials
- Plan and execute campaigns, events, and promotions with the Associate Director
- Manage website updates, audits, email data requests, communications calendars, and project submissions
- Support day-to-day management of VUconnect.com
- Draft training materials, assist with staff training, and promote departmental best practices
- Manage leadership and team calendars, schedule meetings, coordinate agendas, and support follow-up
- Manage the operational budget and team expenses, book travel, and complete expense reports
- Provide frontline constituent support through shared inboxes and phone lines
- Co-manage Giving Day communications, operational needs, and event activations
- Provide event staffing support and perform other duties as assigned
- Report administratively and functionally to the Director of Annual Giving and Engagement Operations, with a dotted-line relationship to the Associate Director of Specialty Campaigns
Requirements
What you’ll need- Associate’s degree, or an equivalent combination of education, relevant military experience, and relevant skills, is required
- 1 year of related experience with higher education development, project management, operations, and/or data analytics is preferred
- Proficient in Windows, Excel, Word, Internet navigation, online learning platforms, design software, and Salesforce
- Strong organizational and project management skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines
- Ability to work collaboratively across the department
- Passion for training others and desire to support the team
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Ability to exercise discretion when handling confidential information
- Ability to remain calm under pressure and adapt to change
- Commitment to equity, diversity, and inclusion
- Ability to work some evenings and weekends as needed
