About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Report directly to the Chief Growth Officer
- Develop and grow health plan business to exceed sales goals for Vatica Health and Cozeva’s risk adjustment and platform solutions in a defined territory
- Manage a territory and drive business results, sales activities, and cross-functional initiatives
- Achieve defined business segment bookings, revenue, and margin targets
- Develop and execute a business plan and sales strategies aligned with the overall business strategy
- Develop and grow key customer relationships with target accounts
- Maintain a high level of product and market knowledge
- Participate in cross-functional teams supporting customer-facing roles within the assigned territory
- Broker and negotiate complex contracts in large national and regional payer accounts
- Drive direct client sales focused on net-new logos through prospecting, referrals, and appointment setting
- Sell to senior leaders and C-level executives at national and regional health plans
- Manage and prepare sales support for key prospect meetings, both onsite and by telephone
- Take full accountability for pursuing and completing RFIs/RFPs
- Review and manage MSA, SOW, and SLA contracts
- Provide meeting and trade show support, including scheduling executive meetings and attending key industry events such as AHIP, RISE, Risk Adjustment Summits, and Blues Summit
Requirements
What you’ll need- Proven history of building strategic relationships, selling, and closing complex deals within the Health Plan/Payer market
- Minimum of 5 years of senior-level sales experience in Health Plans required
- Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred
- Experience selling within complex environments required
- Strong analytical, creative problem-solving, and presentation skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- High degree of personal organization, time management, and ability to multitask
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-demanding environment
- Ability to travel 50–75%
