About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Build Vega's financial planning and analysis function from scratch
- Partner with Sales and Marketing leadership on pipeline coverage, quota planning, headcount, and spend
- Own the revenue forecast and connect it to go-to-market activity
- Analyze unit economics including CAC, LTV, payback, and margin by segment
- Lead financial analysis for pricing and packaging decisions
- Build and own the company's operating model covering revenue, headcount, and expenses
- Build and maintain fundraising models and support investor diligence
- Run annual budgeting and rolling forecasts
- Monitor runway and scenario planning
- Build board materials and the supporting financial narrative
- Establish monthly reporting, variance analysis, and department budget reviews
- Hire and lead an FP&A team after approximately one year
Requirements
What you’ll need- 8+ years in FP&A, strategic finance, or investment banking followed by an operating role
- Startup experience: built FP&A foundations at an early- or growth-stage company
- Fluency in SaaS metrics and unit economics
- Track record of partnership with go-to-market teams
- Experience building fundraising models and board materials
- Expert-level financial modeling skills
- Ability to work independently and eventually lead a team
- Ability to turn financial analysis into business decisions
