About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Own vega.io end to end: design, build, ship, and iterate
  • Build and maintain the BrandOS component library and living design system with the design team
  • Manage and evolve content through the Directus CMS with marketing and content teams
  • Translate brand direction into interactive web experiences including scroll-driven storytelling, ROI calculators, product tours, and campaign microsites
  • Help shape how the brand evolves on the web alongside the design team
  • Add motion through subtle interactions, micro-animations, and larger interactive moments
  • Own deployments via Git and Vercel
  • Keep the site fast, accessible, and production-ready
  • Help define how design and web come together as the function scales
  • Work in Astro, ship to production, and partner closely with content and marketing teams

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 4+ years of experience in design and/or frontend development
  • A portfolio showing design sensibility and the ability to build what you design using modern frameworks such as Astro, Next.js, SvelteKit, Nuxt, or similar
  • Fluency in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript / TypeScript
  • Comfortable in Figma and able to design what you build
  • Comfortable working in Git, owning deploys, and shipping without a safety net
  • Experience with headless CMS platforms such as Directus or similar
  • Motion code experience with GSAP, Framer Motion, or Lottie
  • Understanding of performance, accessibility, and responsive craft
  • Excitement about working in a small, highly visible team
  • Nice to have: background working alongside marketing, brand, or content teams
  • Nice to have: experience building a design system or component library from scratch
  • Nice to have: experience with canvas-based development or interactive games
  • Nice to have: cybersecurity, developer tools, or B2B SaaS experience
  • Nice to have: React and/or Tailwind experience
  • Nice to have: familiarity with SEO best practices and tag management tools such as GTM
  • Nice to have: interest in pixel art
