About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Issue and distribute wholesale customer invoices based on shipment records; upload to customer portals or transmit via EDI as required.
Match and apply incoming customer payments; research and resolve short pays.
Monitor outstanding balances and perform first-round collections outreach on past-due accounts.
Investigate and resolve billing discrepancies and maintain accurate customer master data.
Run credit checks on new customer applications and compile findings.
Maintain customer sales-tax exemption documentation and support monthly sales tax filing preparation.
Collaborate with Sales and Customer Service to resolve billing-related concerns.
Support preparation of AR aging and collections status reports.
Support month-end close by cleaning up the AR sub-ledger and assisting with journal entries and account reconciliations.
Provide general AR team support, including data entry and filings.

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required.
2–3 years of accounts receivable experience.
Strong understanding of basic accounting principles and concepts.
Proficiency in accounting software and related tools is required.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is required.
Experience with NetSuite is a plus.
Comfortable with high transaction volume in a fast-paced, growing environment.
Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
Comfortable communicating directly with external customers regarding payment status.
Ability to operate with significant autonomy and influence cross-functional partners without direct authority.
Ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and work independently with minimal supervision.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to work Monday through Friday, 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM.
Ability to work four days on-site in Tomball, Texas, with one remote workday per week.
