About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Build, operate and continuously evolve the Snowflake and dbt-based Data Platform
- Enable teams to develop, deploy and operate data products and AI applications independently
- Design and develop Data & AI platform capabilities, including Cortex Agents, AI governance, observability, security, access management and developer experience
- Define platform architecture, engineering standards and best practices across the Data & AI landscape
- Drive reliability, scalability and cost optimisation across Data and AI workloads, including FinOps initiatives and platform governance
- Coach and support Data Engineers and AI Solutions Partners by promoting reusable building blocks, platform patterns and engineering best practices
- Collaborate with Data Engineers, AI Solutions Partners, Data Scientists and other technology specialists
Requirements
What you’ll need- 5+ years of experience designing, building and operating production-grade data platforms
- Deep expertise in Snowflake and dbt
- Strong Python skills
- Experience with SQL, Infrastructure as Code and CI/CD practices
- Experience with modern AI and LLM infrastructure, such as model gateways, retrieval systems and agent frameworks
- Understanding of data mesh principles, semantic modelling and data contracts
- Experience supporting large numbers of users while balancing reliability, security and cost efficiency
- Experience collaborating with and mentoring engineers and technical stakeholders
- Structured and pragmatic approach to solving complex technical challenges
