About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Lead the strategy, delivery, and operation of enterprise platforms supporting VELUX's global support functions
Lead leaders within the IT organisation
Contribute to the strategic IT agenda as part of the IT leadership team, reporting to the CIO
Own the budget, key vendor relationships, and programme portfolio across support functions
Establish a roadmap for platform reliability and deliver upgrades
Resolve problems at their source while keeping stakeholders informed and supported
Reshape the SAP and Workday support model, including evolution of the external-provider partnership
Strengthen portfolio governance and align priorities with the business, supported by the PMO
Define AI-enabled ways of working for applications and the organisation

Requirements

What you’ll need

10+ years of IT leadership experience, including leading global, multi-disciplinary organisations
Experience with enterprise SAP landscapes across Finance, Sales, and Operations/Supply Chain
S/4HANA experience is a strong advantage
Experience with HR technology platforms; Workday experience is an advantage
Track record of leading large upgrades and multi-year transformations in a global, matrixed organisation
Strong vendor management, including contracts with global system integrators and managed-service providers
Curiosity about AI and automation, with a practical view of how they can change the way people work
Manufacturing industry experience is a distinct advantage
Building materials industry experience is a plus
Hands-on strategic IT leadership approach
Ability to identify root causes, coordinate stakeholders, and ensure proper resolution
Ability to involve people in prioritisation and build stakeholder alignment
