About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead the strategy for company-owned medium- and large-scale corporate events, from concept and planning through execution, measurement, and optimization
- Develop events as channels for demand generation, acquisition, relationship building, branding, and growth
- Structure monetization strategies, including ticket sales, sponsorships, commercial packages, and other revenue streams
- Develop sponsorship packages and proposals, including package structure, pricing, prospecting, negotiation, and sponsor management
- Build commercial strategies to maximize event revenue and return
- Partner with Sales and Revenue to generate leads, MQLs, opportunities, and pipeline
- Integrate events into Growth, Demand Generation, ABM, and other Marketing initiatives
- Define and track KPIs such as revenue, ROI, leads, MQLs, opportunities, pipeline, conversion, CAC, and cost per acquisition
- Manage budgets, vendors, partners, agencies, and stakeholders
- Lead internal and/or cross-functional teams responsible for event execution
- Manage event P&L, tracking costs, revenue, margin, and return on investment
- Create measurement and post-event processes to identify learnings, opportunities, and improvements
- Act strategically with internal and external stakeholders, influencing decisions and aligning Marketing, Sales, and business objectives
Requirements
What you’ll need- Solid experience in Marketing and corporate events
- Proven experience leading company-owned events
- Experience with medium- or large-scale events and highly complex projects
- Experience with sponsorships, including package structuring, commercial proposals, prospecting, and negotiation
- Experience monetizing events, especially through ticket sales and/or sponsorships
- Track record of using events as channels for Demand Generation, Growth, and pipeline generation
- Experience partnering with Sales/Revenue
- Ability to work with data and performance metrics
- Experience managing budgets and, ideally, event P&L
- Experience leading people, vendors, partners, and multidisciplinary projects
- Strong negotiation, communication, and influencing skills
- Strategic, hands-on, results-oriented profile with strong business acumen
- Experience in technology, SaaS, or B2B companies
- Experience with ABM (Account-Based Marketing)
- Experience with events focused on demand and pipeline generation
- Experience building communities and company-owned events
- Experience with large conferences, conventions, or events with thousands of attendees
- Experience developing commercial and go-to-market strategies for events
- Strong ability to negotiate with sponsors and strategic partners
- Experience in high-growth and/or transformation environments
- Track record of managing budgets and/or P&L
- Experience leading teams and vendors
- Experience making data-driven decisions
- Experience presenting measurable results
