Finance Analyst

About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Prepare and deliver financial and management reports with operational business partners and the Finance Manager
- Perform financial analysis and variance reporting, focusing on operational drivers behind performance
- Build and maintain commercial models and profitability reviews
- Lead opex-to-capex transfers, ensuring project costs, internal labour and directly attributable expenses meet AASB 116 recognition criteria
- Own the annual budget process and ongoing forecasting activities
- Perform ad hoc accounting and finance tasks
Requirements
What you’ll need- Tertiary qualifications in Accounting/Finance, or equivalent and significant accounting experience
- Must be working towards completion of CA or CPA qualification (or qualified)
- Demonstrated experience within an accounting or financial analyst position in a high volume and complex business
- Audit experience desirable
- Experience with SAP, TM1, Gsuite and MS Office is an advantage
- Experience in logistics or waste industries would be beneficial but not essential
