About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Provide strong leadership in all aspects of Health, Environment and Safety (HSE) management
  • Support the team in establishing its purpose, roles, responsibilities and accountabilities
  • Ensure compliance with safety policies, plans and procedures
  • Ensure vehicles and plant are available, well maintained and in good working order
  • Manage external contractors as required
  • Coordinate team meetings and ensure actions are allocated, followed up and completed
  • Lead and support mechanics, apprentices and contractors
  • Ensure administrative requirements are completed accurately, promptly and according to relevant policies and procedures
  • Work across the Brooklyn, Geelong and Bendigo workshops

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Heavy Vehicle Licence
  • Heavy Vehicle Mechanical Licence (Trade Licence)
  • Tertiary qualifications in business highly desirable
  • Understanding of National Heavy Vehicle Regulations
  • Strong leadership ability to effectively work with and supervise the team
  • Shortlisted candidates must undertake a full pre-employment medical check, including drug and alcohol screening
  • Shortlisted candidates must undergo a National Police Clearance
  • Willingness to work across the Brooklyn, Geelong and Bendigo workshops
