About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Guide and drive a bid team to create winning and executable solutions in partnership with the sales team
- Lead bid teams comprising Application Engineering, Process Design, Sourcing, Contract Management, and other functions
- Lead end-to-end proposal development from RFP planning through final submission
- Facilitate strategy discussions, kick-off meetings, and regular rhythm calls
- Develop and maintain detailed schedules and responsibility assignments
- Conduct compliance reviews of proposal materials against RFP/RFQ requirements
- Track proposal performance, capture lessons learned, and implement improvements
- Structure system solutions and develop technical and commercial strategy, scope, execution model, construction partner identification/qualification, and pricing
- Identify, evaluate, prioritize, and develop risk mitigation and opportunity strategies
- Prepare information and present during Leadership reviews
- Assist the Sales team with client interaction and negotiation
- Develop and nurture relationships with cross-functional internal stakeholders across Projects, Services, and Chemical Solutions & Monitoring
- Analyze and adjust strategy based on new data and feedback
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering preferred
- 8+ years of proposal management, applications engineering, or project management experience within industrial water treatment
- Direct familiarity in Ultrapure Water (UPW), high-purity water systems, or water systems serving semiconductor / microelectronics clients
- Demonstrated experience managing complex, multi volume proposals
- Familiarity with design-build, progressive design-build delivery methods
- Experience in identification and mitigation of business risks
- Fluency in English (both written and verbal)
- Relevant and demonstrable track record in customer facing roles, influencing and negotiation solutions and structures
- Excellent organizational skills
- Working knowledge of contract structures and pricing frameworks
- Proven ability to manage competing priorities with strong organization discipline and effective time management
- Strong understanding of project execution
- Ability to rapidly assess competitive landscapes and translate strategic direction into actionable plans
