About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Acquire new business across the Veradigm Payer Products portfolio
- Sell into health plans, managed care organizations, and other risk-bearing entities within an assigned territory or named prospect list
- Meet or exceed annual order intake quota and manage total cost of ownership against prospect budgets
- Generate pipeline independently through outbound prospecting, industry events, executive networking, and partner and consultant channels
- Develop C-suite relationships at plans where Veradigm has no incumbent position
- Qualify opportunities against business pressures including Stars and HEDIS performance, risk-adjustment revenue accuracy, medical loss ratio, administrative cost, interoperability, and prior authorization mandates
- Construct software, data, and services solutions with Solutions Architects, Product, and Delivery
- Manage discovery, demonstrations, business case development, pricing, proposals, negotiations, and signature across multi-stakeholder sales cycles
- Coordinate Legal, InfoSec, and Finance through procurement, security, privacy, and contracting processes
- Manage RFP, RFI, and consultant-led evaluation responses
- Provide forecasts by product, timeline, and value, communicating risks and upside to sales leadership
- Maintain territory and opportunity plans in Salesforce and submit sales reports
- Maintain payer market knowledge and executive-stakeholder credibility
- Transition closed accounts to Client Success, Operations & Support, documenting sale commitments
Requirements
What you’ll need- Experience selling enterprise solutions to health plans, managed care organizations, and other risk-bearing entities
- New business acquisition and hunter sales experience
- Ability to generate pipeline independently through outbound prospecting, industry events, executive networking, and partner and consultant channels
- Experience opening and developing C-suite relationships
- Knowledge of Stars and HEDIS performance, risk-adjustment revenue accuracy, medical loss ratio, administrative cost, interoperability, and prior authorization mandates
- Ability to construct solutions spanning software, data, and services
- Experience managing the full strategic sales cycle through signature
- Ability to navigate payer procurement, security review, privacy, and contracting processes
- Experience responding to RFPs, RFIs, and consultant-led evaluations
- Ability to provide accurate forecasts and maintain territory and opportunity plans in Salesforce
- Deep working knowledge of the payer market, CMS and NCQA program mechanics, competitive positioning, pricing dynamics, and buying cycles
- Legally authorized to work in the United States or Canada
