About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Maintain credit memo reserves and special reserves for revenue price concessions and AR bad debt allowances
Prepare supporting documentation and schedules for reserve balances for internal review and audits
Distinguish revenue price concessions from AR bad debt write-offs and apply correct accounting treatment and classification
Analyze data and financial information to verify accuracy and identify trends
Deliver financial information to stakeholders in a timely manner
Support month-end close through journal entry preparation and account reconciliations
Compile and analyze financial information for credit-related General Ledger entries and document business transactions
Prepare and post journal entries and General Ledger reconciliations related to AR and revenue reserves
Record entries and reconciliations for credit memos, concessions, and loss contingencies under ASC 450
Interact with internal and external auditors to complete audit requests
Maintain knowledge of GAAP, SEC requirements, and relevant accounting regulations
Prepare regular and ad hoc statistical and financial reports
Build and maintain repeatable data workflows using Power Query, SQL views, and scripts
Source and join data across ERP, billing, CRM, and data warehouse systems; validate completeness and reconcile to the system of record
Redesign manual accounting processes and quantify hours saved and errors reduced
Design auditable automated reconciliations and controls with documented data lineage
Translate accounting logic into technical requirements and partner with IT, BI, and Business Systems on data models, reports, and system enhancements
Complete special projects as assigned
Work a standard work week or as defined by assignment requirements; after-hours, on-call, and holiday support may be required

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field – or equivalent (Required)
3+ years relevant work experience (Required)
Excellent analytical skills to assist in financial analysis
Knowledge of SEC regulatory agency reporting requirements and standards
Knowledge of internal controls and SOX requirements
Ability to translate large, raw datasets into audit-ready, GAAP-compliant financial information

Verification of employment eligibility will be required as a condition of hire
Preferred: 4–7 years relevant work experience
Preferred: Public accounting experience
Preferred: SaaS / Technology Industry experience
Preferred: Certified Public Accountant
Preferred: Advanced Excel, Power Query or other query tools
Preferred: SQL, including joins, CTEs, and aggregations against a data warehouse
Preferred: Python (pandas) or R for data cleaning, matching, and recurring analysis
Preferred: Power Automate, Alteryx, or comparable workflow automation
Preferred: Close automation platforms such as BlackLine, FloQast, or Trintech
Preferred: Cloud data platforms such as Snowflake, Databricks, or Azure Synapse
