About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Manage eCC Engineering team resources across Software Development, QA/Testing, DevOps/Platform, Architecture, and Support Engineering
  • Ensure the chase request platform is adequately staffed and development, maintenance, and support targets are achieved
  • Lead cross-functional engineering teams through the full software development lifecycle
  • Drive execution of product roadmap initiatives
  • Ensure platform reliability and maintain engineering standards across the eCC product line
  • Forecast and allocate software engineers, quality engineers, and technical authors across development programs
  • Define, lead, and audit development process and quality initiatives
  • Own standards-based compliance and process improvement efforts
  • Implement global software quality improvement initiatives and processes
  • Establish collaborative relationships with global counterparts for resource allocation and efficiency
  • Use and report metrics for resource allocation, software defects, productivity, and efficiency
  • Establish performance goals for team members
  • Communicate effectively across written and verbal channels in a global context
  • Monitor schedules, commitments, and progress
  • Optimize communication and status forums for initiative and team management
  • Set and communicate team and individual objectives and KPIs
  • Implement development plans and coach individuals
  • Provide constructive feedback and address poor or mediocre performance promptly
  • Manage budgetary responsibilities for headcount, cost control, capital, and expenses as required

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent technical / business experience, required
  • 10+ years full stack development experience
  • 4–7 years of relevant leadership experience including directing the work of others, preferred
  • Experience with healthcare interoperability standards (HL7/FHIR, CCDA) or regulated/HIPAA environments is a bonus
  • Awareness of management strategies, development methodology, and standards for team operations
  • Hands-on AWS experience with compute, containers, databases, and IAM
  • Practical experience integrating AI coding tools such as Claude Code, Copilot, and Cursor into a team's workflow
  • Strong full-stack technical background
  • Experience owning CI/CD, uptime, and incident response for a production system at scale
  • Standard work week or as defined by assignment requirements
  • Travel to Raleigh office expected 1–2 times a month
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States or Canada
  • Visa sponsorship is not offered
