About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Provide technical support and troubleshooting assistance to customers by phone and in the field
  • Support and troubleshoot the design, construction, installation, maintenance, repair, and operation of instrumentation
  • Travel to customer locations for hands-on installation or diagnostic/repair work
  • Complete field work in Southern Nebraska and around McCook, Alma, Holdrege, and Imperial, Nebraska
  • Travel by personal vehicle or air for customer support, with fuel/mileage reimbursement when using a personal vehicle
  • Complete occasional overnight work assignments, including stays of around one week when required

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Mechanical skills and/or experience
  • Electronics or telemetry background is advantageous
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Valid Driver’s License and clean driving record
  • Previous Field Service experience is advantageous
  • Experience with irrigation pipelines or pump controls is advantageous
  • Ability to self-manage and take initiative
  • Resilience, resourcefulness, and ability to manage a busy workload with competing priorities
  • Ability to work 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday
  • Occasional out-of-state and out-of-country travel may be required
