About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Support the accounting and finance department by managing daily accounting tasks
- Report to the Regional Controlling Manager and join the European accounting team
- Own the month-end and year-end close process, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting
- Prepare journal entries, reconciliations, and variance analysis
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure accounting transactions are captured correctly
- Reconcile balance sheet accounts and maintain complete, accurate supporting documentation
- Assist with internal and external audits
- Coordinate income tax returns with an external provider and ensure timely payments
- Prepare statutory financial statements, including local GAAP adjustments
- Work with HR and the payroll provider to ensure timely and accurate payroll entries
- Prepare accounting transactions for multiple regions in accordance with local accounting standards and global company policies
- Recommend improvements to accounting processes and internal controls
- Prepare and submit periodic VAT, VIES, Intrastat, and statistical returns
- Participate in the Oracle Fusion ERP implementation planned for 2027
Requirements
What you’ll need- Qualified Accountant (e.g. ACA)
- Knowledge of maintaining Local and US GAAP accounting ledgers
- Excellent skills in MS Excel
- Good understanding of both written and spoken English
- Familiarity with ERP systems, particularly Oracle would be an advantage
- Strong organisational and analytical capabilities with attention to detail, high levels of integrity, and professionalism at all times, with a proven ability to multi-task
- Ability to work on own initiative and also as part of a global team
- Enthusiastic, committed self-starter with proactive approach to problem solving
- Successful candidate must have good English
