About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Contribute to the technical development of predictive analytics products
- Collaborate with engineers, data scientists, domain experts, and business leaders
- Develop applications that detect sensor anomalies, digital twins that simulate water treatment plants, and LLM-powered agents that synthesize water data
- Own features end to end, including requirements, technical design, implementation, code review, testing, documentation, and troubleshooting
- Build and operate cloud-native services on AWS and Azure
- Write clean and scalable Angular frontend and C# backend code
- Champion AI adoption and improve software development lifecycle processes while following AI governance best practices
- Drive continuous improvement in productivity, quality, and team health
- Manage and enhance development infrastructure, including build and test systems
- Improve testing frameworks and contribute to unit, integration, and end-to-end testing
- Report to the Director of Engineering & Predictive Analytics
Requirements
What you’ll need- Post-secondary degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical discipline, or equivalent practical experience
- 5+ years of industry experience designing, building, and operating large-scale, data-intensive, cloud-native applications using microservices architectures on AWS or Azure
- Experience with modern front-end frameworks such as Angular, React, or Vue
- Strong background in Microsoft development (.NET, C#, and related technologies)
- Excellent verbal and written English communication skills
- Genuine interest in using AI to accelerate software development
- Hands-on experience with agentic engineering and AI-assisted development workflows
- Expertise in database design and development using SQL, Oracle, or PostgreSQL
- Background in environmental science, time series data, IoT, or industrial controls is an asset
- Exposure to data science or machine learning concepts
- Experience leading and mentoring junior developers
