About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Own product design and frontend implementation for the journey from discovering a model to making a first successful request and operating AI in production.
Design and build production experiences across the website, dashboard, CLI, and APIs.
Make models, providers, credentials, routing, budgets, logs, performance, privacy, and governance understandable.
Create reusable patterns across new providers, modalities, and workloads.
Talk directly with customers and use product data to understand problems, define success, make tradeoffs, and improve shipped work.
Own post-launch quality, including visual and interaction craft, accessibility, performance, resilience, instrumentation, and edge cases.
Use coding agents to explore and implement ideas quickly while testing and debugging.
Work with customers, a Product Manager, engineers, and the Product Design team.
Report to the Design Team.

Requirements

What you’ll need

Production-quality web application development with React and TypeScript.
Ability to contribute confidently in a large, existing codebase.
Strong visual and interaction craft.
Experience making technical or data-rich products understandable while preserving control for advanced users.
Ability to work across graphical interfaces, CLI workflows, API behavior, and implementation details.
Attention to accessibility, performance, failure recovery, and instrumentation.
Use of customer research and product data for decision-making.
Ability to explain, test, debug, and take responsibility for code produced with coding agents.
Demonstrated personal ownership of identifying, designing, building, shipping, and learning from work after launch.
No specific educational or career path required.
Bonus: experience with developer tools, infrastructure products, model marketplaces, or observability experiences.
Bonus: experience with AI models, providers, inference platforms, guardrails, or AI application tooling.
Bonus: experience with APIs, command-line tools, structured product content, or agent-facing interfaces.
Bonus: experience building an application or agent with Vercel’s AI SDK or AI Gateway.
