About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Support the monthly and quarterly close process, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of assigned areas.
  • Prepare financial reporting packages and presentations for senior leadership, including fluctuation and trend analyses.
  • Prepare account reconciliations and supporting schedules, identifying and resolving discrepancies.
  • Partner with FP&A to align accounting results with actuals, forecasts, and business drivers.
  • Lead or support process improvement and automation initiatives for close activities, internal controls, and operational effectiveness.
  • Build and use AI agents to automate daily activities.
  • Support M&A activities, including onboarding new entities.
  • Assist with audit and review processes, including documentation, auditor inquiries, and testing.
  • Support special projects as needed.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external providers to improve accounting processes and consistency.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA preferred.
  • 3+ years of progressive accounting experience, including a mix of Big 4 public accounting and/or high-growth private company experience.
  • Strong understanding of US GAAP and familiarity with FASB ASC standards.
  • Comfortable conducting some accounting research independently.
  • Solid foundations in accruals, lease accounting, capitalized commissions, and payroll accounting.
  • Hands-on, detail-oriented accountant with a strong sense of ownership and ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Interest in leveraging AI, automation, and systems to improve efficiency and accuracy.
  • Experience working cross-functionally to align accounting processes with business operations and reporting needs.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills; able to explain accounting concepts clearly.
  • Comfortable operating in a fast-paced and evolving environment.
